Well, this is my first blog on this site. A lot of people are here so I thought I would try it to. I don't know how long it will last cause I'm really not good at keeping up with this stuff. But I have to blog about this weekend. This weekend I went to a Booth Brothers concert with Mark, Cindy, Steve, and a bunch of other people. I am not a big fan of southern gospel but I went just because. I had a lot of fun. (Once I got there.) I had to pick up Steve and Mark. Needless to say, I gave them a good laugh because I kept missing their street. So they sat on thier porched and watched me drive back and forth several times before I finally got turned in the right directions. I would like to blame it on Mark's poor direction giving or my faulty GPS system. But as much as that might have something to do with it, in reality, I'm just lousy at directions.

But the concert was a lot of fun and I actually enjoyed the music. I know, I know, anybody who knows me is falling off thier chairs right about now but its true. The Booth Brothers are not bad. They have a variety of kinds of music and they have great harmony. I really like the more upbeat music but they also had some really meaningful songs that spoke to my heart. Michael Booth had a great sense of humor and sometimes he was downright crazy. I think that he through out the order in the second half and was just winging it. Even his brother said that this concert was one for the books. They did all kind of things like dancing on stage and twirling microphone stands. But I liked how they had fun but also knew when to get serious. I had a great time.

Afterwards, we went to out to Chilli's. Chilli's happens to be my favorite restaurant. We had good (fattening) food. Aftewards, I had to went home to my parents house. The drive was so long. I had the hardest time staying awake. By the end, I didn't think I was going to make it. I was slapping myself, opening my windows and blaring my music to try to stay awake. I didn't get home until 2:00 AM. The concert was worth it but I dont think I will be doing that again anytime soon.

Sunday I had a deputation service at a nearby church. That went pretty good once I got there. I kinda got lost on the way up. I am horrible with directions. Lets just say I can't direct myself out of a paper bag. Though, nce I have driven somewhere once then I can do it again. Well, today was one of those day I got really turned around. My GPS was giving me fits until I figured out that DUH, you have change the state to Illinois in order to put in a Chicago adress. My blond roots were showing. So I did make the service on time but barely. I was sweating and praying all the way there. I had a good service and God really helped me. I even got to see my old Sunday school teacher from back when I was little.

So tomorrow, off to IHC. I can't wait. Though it will be different this year. My grandma and grandpa aren't going to be there this year. My grandma just fell and broke her hip. This is the first time they have missed IHC in many many years. It will be different without them. And today we weren't sure if Aunt Debbie and Uncle Dave were going to go either because my cousin Krysta fell asleep and totaled her car afer church today. Lucky she walked away from the wreck. (A miracle in itself.) Usually IHC is a big time for my whole family but now a lot is uncertain. Well, I am still looking forward to this convention.

Wow, I have talked a lot on my first blog. I think I better end it here.

Looking forward to seeing you at IHC, and then perchance some Rook when life slows back down a little.

Hey! Glad to see you on here. Of course you'd like to blame your difficulties in getting to my place on me :-) I noticed you neglected to tell that I was on my cell trying to talk you here and you still drove by :-)
